Sea Ducks (scoter, eider & old squaw): Season is from September 15 through December 30 in all coastal waters, rivers & streams seaward from the first upstream bridge. The daily bag limit shall be 7 birds of which no more than 4 shall be scoters or eiders or oldsquaw. The possession limit shall be 14 birds of which no more than 8 shall be scoters or eiders or oldsquaw. In all other areas of the state, sea ducks may be taken only during the regular season for ducks and shall be included in the regular season daily bag and possession limit.

FALCONRY:
Inland Zone: October 2 - January 14
Coastal Zone: January 25 - March 10

YOUTH WATERFOWL DAYS: New Hampshire’s Youth only day will be held statewide on September 22 and 23. Youths must be 15 years of age or younger and accompanied by a licensed adult 18 years of age or older. The adult cannot hunt. The daily bag limit is the same as that allowed in the open season.
Coastal Zone: Beginning at the Maine-New Hampshire line in Rollinsford, that portion of the state east of a boundary formed by Route 4 west to the city of Dover, south to the intersection of Route 108 through Madbury, Durham and Newmarket to the junction of Route 85 in Newfields, south to Route 101 in Exeter, east to Interstate 95 in Hampton, and south to the Massachusetts line.
Inland Zone: That portion of the state west of the above boundary.

New Hampshire will use a toll-free phone system for hunters to obtain a HIP validation number: Call 1-800-WETLAND (1-800-938-5263), or visit www.wetland.net for your HIP validation number. You will be asked for your N.H. hunting license number, various license information, and to answer a short survey. The HIP validation number will be provided over the phone or online, and the number must be recorded in the upper right corner of your hunting license.

Report all banded birds using the toll-free number. The U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service will send a certificate with information about the bird.
